How the fiber in carrots calculation works
This tool estimates fiber in carrots using the selected preparation and the entered carrot weight. It uses 2.8 g of fiber per 100 g for raw carrots and 3.0 g per 100 g for boiled, drained carrots.
A medium carrot is supplied as 61 g. You can switch to a custom weight when your carrots are smaller, larger, or weighed directly. The percentage uses the supplied 38 g daily fiber reference for men under 51.
fiber grams = fiber per 100 g × total carrot grams ÷ 100; percent = fiber grams ÷ 38 g × 100 This is an estimate from food-composition values and entered weight. A single food estimate is not a diagnosis; a clinician decides how to interpret health concerns.
